The week of solidarity was first launched with the charitable actions by the youth organization “Pirvelebi” ( the first) where the students of Javakhishvviuli State University are involved and by the spokesmen of the division of the juvenile affairs of Tbilisi City Hall.
All hand made things were sold at a reasonable prices and the sum went to the aid fund of the refugees.
As the head of the organization “Pirvelebi” Kote Chokoraia states the students of the state University are included into the organization, actively helping the refugees. All the money gotten by selling of the hand made things will be transferred to the refugees. He also called for the others to join the charitable action.
The rector of the state University Giorgi Khubua was attending the auction that launched the week of solidarity and as he said the students of the Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University are always the first ones in launching all sorts of charitable actions. According to him the action is really unusual by its unity of people and will do a great part in helping the refugees.
The popular singers also joined the action, they, together with the other participants of the charitable action , were gathering money for the refugees.
“ My pals and I have been participating in the action since morning and now we are raising money for the refugees , this is the support of the public and the people , who lost their home during the Russian aggression should be aided, “- said Nanuka Kiknadze, the member of the organization ”PIrvelebi”
The charitable action in Sharden square ended with the concert of the group “ Passengers” at 20:’00 pm.
