Solidarity Week Continues

 

The handmade things selling of the pupils  of Didube-Chughureti region was held  at Tbilisi city council building. The sum gotten by selling will fully go the aid fund of the refugees.

“This sort of action took place last year, but this year it  bears an important meaning. Everything is dedicated to charity . This action is conducted within the limits of the  week of solidarity. This gives the core of solidarity and charity in the population. I think that if we stand by each other will  overcome every misfortune ,  “- states the Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava.

The pupils of the school # 18 of Didube-Chughureti region exhibited their handmade things  in city council building for the staff of the City Hall and the city council.

As the principal of the school Marina Darsavelidze says the pupils tried their best and gathered the things. Paintings, flower bunches and old books , all were exhibited for selling. She says she is sure that the staff of the government will like the works of the pupils ,  will buy them  and thus will give the pupils the chance to aid the refugees.

The administrator of Didube-Chughureti region Ramaz Sulamanidze , together with the   other representative of the government   was attending the charitable action. According to him the pupils of their region took their merit in the week of solidarity , and it is very important as the money they get for their  handmade things will be transferred to the fund of the refugees.

The Mayor bought a very beautiful handmade thing “ The tree of Dreams” .
